Gangadhar orders his soldiers to take Samar Singh in their custody. Marshall swears to himself that he will kill Laxmibai. Laxmibai secretly meets Samar in the prison and tells him to speak the truth. In the court, Samar Singh is accused of plotting to kill Gangadhar in the blast. Laxmibai intervenes and points out that the charges against Samar should be proved, and only then can he be punished. Samar tells Gangadhar that he has left the path of crime and the one who showed him the path of righteousness was Queen Laxmibai. Samar Singh tells Gangadhar that he was arrested by Marshalls men a day prior to the flag game. Marshall tries to turn the tables on Samar Singh by asking him what he was doing in Jhansi jail. Samar Singh tells Gangadhar that he had gone to free Kranti Guru. Marshall tells Gangadhar to ask Kranti Guru to testify in the court. Gangadhar asks Kranti Guru to be present, or Samar would be hanged. Marshall is happy that Laxmibai will be exposed.
