On Saturday, April 3 at 17.40, Happy Travelers travel by road within Greece and go to mountainous Achaia and Kalavrita. They learn the history of the martyred town, take a walk on the main pedestrian street and visit the museum of the Kalavrita Holocaust and the hill outside the city, where one of the darkest pages in the history of Greece was written during World War II. Then, they go to the historic monastery of Agia Lavra and the impressive monument of the revolution of 1821. On this trip, which took place last summer, they taste local flavors that go crazy, lead to unique landscapes, reach a fairytale waterfall, visit the impressive , in natural beauty, Lake Tsivlou and are guided to the impressive Observatory of Helmos. A visit to Kalavrita could not but include a walk on the cog railway and a walk in the gorge of Vouraikos, one of the leading hiking trails in Greece.
